BUDOKAN‘s debut platter “Spin A Little Gold”.
Some great upcoming shows! David Newberry‘s CD Release party this Thursday, March 15 at The Railway Club followed by tour. Spoon River play Montreal again at Divan Orange on March 24th. Then, a few special events on Easter weekend – on Friday, April 6th, it’s the New West premiere screening of Susanne Tabata’s brilliant ‘Bloodied But Unbowed’ punk rock documentary followed by live sets from both Hello Polly and Budokan. This takes place at The Heritage Grill’s intimate Back Room Theatre in the heart of New West. Then, on the Saturday, April 7th we’re celebrating the release of Budokan’s debut full-length album “Spin A Little Gold” (on 180g gold vinyl!) with a giant rock show at The Rickshaw Theatre. Joining Budokan are Hello Polly, the return of The Hits, The Liquor Kings and I, Braineater!!! All for only $10! The “hot” golden ticket of 2012!
Budokan signs with Northern Electric! It’s official. As seen above, members of Budokan, along with labelmate David P. Smith, who witnessed the event, have joined the Northern Electric stable. Their debut “Spin A Little Gold” is scheduled to come out in April and on gold vinyl no less (No CD’s!). The boys are also hitting the road, touring with Hello Polly in April & May. Dates include Vancouver at The Rickshaw (April 7), Victoria, New Westminster and Nanaimo.
